"CERAMIC GRILLS" Academy

It’s finally here! An academy dedicated to enthusiasts of the finest grilling equipment on the market—ceramic grills!

These are magnificent appliances created several thousand years ago and still in use today in various countries under different names—whether it’s the American “kamado,” or the Indian tandoor—these appliances guarantee excellent results both when roasting meat using radiant heat from heated ceramic and in the American “low and slow” method, where the ceramic ensures high moisture retention. It uses a minimal amount of charcoal, but it also works great as a pizza oven!

Workshop participants will prepare four dishes on ceramic grills from various manufacturers.

They’ll learn how to set up and control the temperature of Kamado-style grills, and they’ll also have the opportunity to explore the differences between grills from various brands and those manufactured in different countries—China and the U.S.

The menu will definitely include pizza, steak, chicken, fish, and vegetables—we’ll let you know soon exactly which dishes will be prepared and which grills the participants will be using.

Just like with this year’s gas grill academy, we’ll be using grills from various brands—American, Lithuanian, but also… Chinese ones! We’ve actually brought in a Chinese grill, and you’ll be able to compare “side by side” how these grills differ and whether it’s worth buying the more expensive ceramic models.

Kacper Salzman has been grilling on ceramic grills for several years. He was the first to start publishing tutorials on how to use these grills, and the entire Grill Bastards team was trained at the Big Green Egg academy in the Netherlands.
