Angus & Oink Cuban Rub
Opis
Layers of fresh citrus, balanced by earthy cumin, smoked paprika, and a deep kick of chili—that’s a Cuban seasoning, and it’s que rico! (That means “delicious” in Spanish, for those who don’t speak Spanish), or as Kacper says in his travel videos, “fchuy rico” (muy rico) ;-)
Apply a generous but even layer to a damp surface at least 1 hour before grilling. You can also mix it with olive oil and a splash of citrus juice to make a marinade before grilling your choice of meat, poultry, seafood, or vegetables! This is the best marinade!
Our favorite use is, of course, the classic Cuban sandwich—Swiss cheese, ham, thick slices of roasted pork, pickles, and spicy mustard. You’ll thank us later for this tip.
Apply an even layer, using about 3–5% of the meat’s weight.
Ingredients: salt, sugar, celery salt (celery), black pepper, smoked paprika, cumin, onion, orange, lime, cilantro, fennel, chili, citric acid, silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent).
